How to automatically write to customers who opened your email X days ago

By using email marketing automations, you can increase the efficiency of your newsletter of your newsletter campaigns. With CleverReach, you can automatically follow up emails to recipients who have not interacted for a long time.

This allows you to maintain contact with your customers and increase the likelihood of repeat purchases.

Create segment

  1. The first step is to create a segment in your recipient list with the recipients who last opened your newsletter x days ago. Click on Recipients in the menu on the left and select one of your recipient lists.

  2. Within the recipient list, click on the tab Segments and on the button Add segment.

  3. Give the segmentation a name and set it as shown in the screenshot. Select the period (here in the example it is example it is 3 days). Click Update & Save to save the segment.

Create automation

  1. The next step is to create a new THEA automation chain in your CleverReach account. To do this, click on Automation THEA and click on the button New automation chain at the top right.

  2. Select under the simple automation chain the calendar event and assign a name for the automation.

  3. Click edit next to the calendar module.

  4. You can set when the email should be sent automatically to your recipients. You can choose between daily, monthly, weekday, calendar week or a list of days.

  5. With the next module, select the recipients you would like to write to automatically. Click on the recipient list or the segment that you created in the first step and click on Save.


  6. In the third and final module, select one of your created newsletters or create a new mailing.


  7. Once you have finished, save your email. Your automation is now created and can be activated with the slider at the top right.
