What is a Design and Spam Test? How Can I Do One in CleverReach?

A design & spam test gives you the opportunity to check the layout and any spam classification of your newsletter before the final dispatch.

By sending the mailing via our email marketing tool, the spam classification is lower than if you were to send the newsletter via your own email account. would be. The design & spam test checks:

  • Inbox preview of your mailing: How is your newsletter likely to be received in the inbox of the most popular email programs (e.g. various Outlook versions, Gmail, Yahoo!) look like?

Booking the design & spam tests:

  1. Click on the profile icon at the top right > Prices & tariffs

  2. Scroll down a little further in the tariff overview to the additional services. There you will find the option to add design and spam tests to the shopping cart


  3. Complete the booking via your shopping cart and proceed to checkout to fill up your test quota.

Apply design & spam tests to email

  1. Click on E-mails in the menu on the left and open the mailing to which you want to apply the test.

  2. Click on Preview > Design & Spam test in the top right-hand corner.

  3. If you have not yet purchased a test quota, you can do so directly via the button Purchase design and spam tests purchase.

  4. Click on Start test to be redirected to the next page and see the overview of the design and spam test. You can view the status of the test above the process. If the test is still being processed, not all available email clients have been evaluated yet.
    Note: You do not need to leave the test view open. The test runs in the background so that you can view the current status of the test later in the same way.
