We have an App with which you can quickly and easily connect your Shopify store with our e-mail marketing tool CleverReach and get started with your email marketing.
The integration has many helpful functions, for example, it automatically during the installation a double opt-in registration form for sending your newsletter.
With the App installation you can select whether a new recipient list should be created for the connection or you can select an existing recipient list from your CleverReach account.

Depending on how you decide, you have the following options with regard to the registration forms for your newsletter dispatch:

You have selected an existing recipient list from CleverReach during installation and have already created a form for this list in CleverReach? After installation, you can use the double opt-in registration form in your plugin dashboard in Shopify and insert it into your Shopify store. During installation, you selected that a new recipient list should be created? Our app automatically creates during the installation a double opt-in registration form for you! The form has the same name as your name as your new recipient list.

- When establishing the connection, you want an existing recipient list from CleverReach is used, but you have not yet created a form for the list in CleverReach yet? No problem! Our app automatically creates a double opt-in form for your recipient list during installation. The form is named like your recipient list.
You can create additional forms with a paid account in CleverReach and link them to your recipient list for Shopify. This allows you to use multiple forms to register for the newsletter.

In general, you can create a registration form for your newsletter in Shopify using the Theme Editor in your store, as a Proxy Page and a Form can be integrated into pages.
Inserting a double opt-in registration form via the Theme Editor

To insert the CleverReach form with the theme editor, go to in your Shopify account under Online Store to the section themes. You will be shown the current theme that is active in your Shopify store.
- To edit the page layout, click on the Customize button:

The Theme Editor opens, where you can see all the sections that are currently on the page on the left. To add a new section, click on the button Add section at the bottom of this list.

You will be presented with different profile types, including under CleverReach your CleverReach forms.
Here all the forms that you have created in your account for the recipient list of your Shopify customers. - In the next step, select the form that you would like to add to your page. After that you can customize various things:
- the form heading or title
- the sub-heading
- the form
Note: If you click on the link, you will be taken directly to the form in your CleverReach account, where you can, for example add further query elements to the form.
You can see and follow your customizations live in the editor. When you are finished and satisfied with the design of the form, you can save the changes and publish the design.
Insert double opt-in registration form as proxy page

In Shopify, go to the CleverReach dashboard and to the tab forms tab. Select the form that you want to insert.

In the next step, click on the three dots on the right ... for more options and then in the drop-down menu on Add page:

In the pop-up you will see a link that can be added to any page content or navigation. Click on the button Copy, to copy this link to the clipboard.
Note: If you change the proxy URL under the application section, please use a customized base proxy URL for the form link. You can access this option by clicking on Apps in Shopify and then on Manage App for our CleverReach plugin.

Insert double opt-in registration form in Pages
The third option for inserting a CleverReach form into a page is to copy and is to copy a section of the form and insert it manually into the page code.

Click Apps > CleverReach and then click on the tab forms.

Here you select the form that you would like to insert into Shopify. Click on the three dots on the right-hand side of the respective form... for more options and then click Add form in the drop-down menu.
- In the window that opens, you will see an HTML code snippet that will be inserted into the page where you want to insert your form.
Click on the Copy button to copy the code to the clipboard. -
In the next step, go back to the store administration and open the page (blog, product, collection, etc.) where you want to insert the CleverReach form.
If you want to create a new blog post and add a form, for example, you can edit the code yourself and add an HTML element.
When creating the post in the editor, click on the button with the tags <>, to open the source code.

You can now see the HTML code of all elements of this page.
Paste the copied code in the desired place and save the changes.
- After saving, you can click on the button View click to see the page in the storefront. Now you can see the CleverReach form on your site and can quickly and easily gain newsletter subscribers.

Another way to insert a CleverReach form into a theme page is to copy a form section and insert it manually into the theme code.
To do this, go to Apps - CleverReach Email Marketing in Shopify and in the form area.
Select the form you want to insert and click on the three-dot icon click on the three-dot icon (....) for further options.
In the next step, click on Add form in the drop-down menu.
In the dialog that opens, you will see an HTML code snippet that will be inserted into the page on which you want to include your registration form for your newsletter you would like to include.
Click on the Copy button to copy the code to the clipboard.
Go back to the store administration and open Online Shop → Themes → Current Theme → Customize.
Click on Theme actions and then on Edit code.
Select the page type of the theme (blog, product, collection, etc.) and insert the CleverReach form excerpt in the desired position insert.
The inserted form now appears on all pages of the selected page type (e.g. product, blog, collection).
Copy existing double opt-in form in CleverReach
If you have an existing form in your paid CleverReach account that you would like to use in the Shopify integration, you can copy this form. All settings and styles will be copied to a new form copied.

Click on the three dots on the right-hand side of the form --- to open the drop-down menu. Click on Copy:
- Enter a name for the form and select your recipient list for Shopify that belongs to the connection.
- Click Copy form to copy your form.
- The newly created double opt-in form can now be used in your Shopify account and integrated in your Shopify store for the newsletter registration.
Note: You can quickly and easily send the next and easily send the next newsletter to your customers from within Shopify. To do this, click under Customers on the tab More actions. There you have a button to send your newsletter quickly and easily to your customers:
