Note:
Integrations that are provided directly by CleverReach (e.g. for Shopware, Shopify, WooCommerce or WordPress), are not affected by this change.
The SOAP API has been considered obsolete for some time and was no longer developed further.
In order to continue to provide modern, secure and powerful interfaces the REST API has been used consistently ever since.
What does this mean for you?
Applications or integrations based on the SOAP API, must be converted to the REST API by 30.10.2025 at the latest.
After this date the SOAP API was no longer available.
Advantages of the REST API
By switching to the REST API the following advantages were made possible:
- Modern technology: The REST API is based on common web standards and uses the lightweight JSON format.
- Better performance: Thanks to the stateless design reduces server load and improves scalability.
- Efficient data traffic: Repeated requests can be blocked by proxies or browsers.
- Easier integration: Standardized HTTP methods make the HTTP methods make the REST API easier to integrate into existing systems.
