Why are there active recipients among my bounces?

If you call up your newsletter report, active recipients may also be listed there under bounces.
In this article, we explain why this is the case, what so-called soft bounces are all about and how you can interpret these responses correctly:

Under the menu item Reports & analyses you will find the reports of your newsletter dispatch. In the respective report, under the tab Activities > Bounces will show you all the Bounces that were reported back are displayed. The bounces are marked according to their status (red or green):

It is possible that at this point you may also see active recipients are also displayed here are displayed. These were not permanently bounced, but a so-called Soft bounce.

Although your mailing may not have been delivered, the email address can be actively contacted again the next time it is sent and your recipients can receive your newsletter.
