The free CleverReach Magento 2 Plugin allows you to synchronize selected contacts and their order details in just a few steps and get started with your email marketing. Keep your customers posted on your latest offers – personalized and completely automated.
The CleverReach®-Magento 2 Extension uses, among others, the CleverReach Connect Link Extension. When a customer places an order, the plugin transfers the order details to your CleverReach® report. This allows you to measure the revenue generated through your emails.
This post tells you everything you need to know about the features of the extension and the installation process.
Features
Recipient list, data fields, segments and tags are created automatically
A recipient list including your customer data, data fields, segments and tags is created automatically. This doesn’t only save you valuable time, but also makes the plugin more user-friendly. You have all your contacts in a structured recipient list and can filter them for more targeted email marketing.
Which recipients are transferred?
Before the first synchronization you decide who should transferred to CleverReach as active – subscribers, buyers or other contacts. It’s important that you only transfer those contacts as active, who have given their consent to use their email address for receiving your newsletters in compliance with the GDPR.
There are three types of recipients you can transfer from your Magento 2 shop to CleverReach:
Subscribers: Everyone who has subscribed to your newsletter. Buyers: All people who purchased something from your shop. (Other) Contacts: All people who have neither subscribed to your newsletter nor placed an order in your shop. In other words, all other people in your database. |
Surely, you can also select all your contacts. The datasets are created as active recipients in the recipient list “Magento” in CleverReach. Click here for detailed instructions.
You can also change the [Settings] afterwards and e.g. synchronize further contacts.
Which data are transferred?
- Newsletter subscriptions and unsubscribes
- Recipients are saved with their respective newsletter status “yes“ or “no“
- First and last name, gender, age, date of birth, address details…
- Purchased products, revenue, order number, item number, product name, price, currency, quantity…
- Product details of your Magento shop items, such as image, text, price, size, material…
Data are transferred bi-directionally.
Example: When a recipient is added to CleverReach, updates their data or subscribes to our unsubscribes from your newsletter, the changes are also updated in Magento. It also works the other way around.
Unsubscribes in CleverReach are also transferred to Magento and set the email status of the respective customer to inactive.
Which data fields are created for my recipients?
The following details are automatically added to a recipient as data fields in CleverReach:
- First and last name, street, ZIP code, city, state, country, company, shop, etc.
- Number of Orders
- Example: The data field "Number of Orders" allows you to filter by the number of orders as customer has placed, and exclusively contact the ones with more than 50 orders – send more targeted newsletters.
- Total Expenses of Orders
- The data field "Total Expenses of Orders“ allows you to contact customers who, for example, have spent more than 1,000 euros in your shop.
Which tags are automatically attached to my recipients?
When your Magento recipient list is created, tags are automatically attached to your recipients.
Your recipients automatically get tags concerning the shop name, product categories, attributes and manufacturers.
Example: A customer buys a pair of black adidas shoes – they consequently get the following tags attached: Magento-Category.Shoes // Magento-Color.Black // Magento-Manufacturer.Adidas – You can use these tags for a more targeted segmentation.
Which segments are created automatically in my recipient list?
For each special tag, a segment is created automatically, which you can directly use for sending targeted emails.
How and how often does the synchronization between Magento and CleverReach take place?
There’s a regular real-time synchronization of new recipients and customers including their purchase details.
