Segment recipients by subscription

You have integrated subscription forms for various topics on your website and would like to send automatic mails to recipients by autoresponder.

A customer subscribes via the first form for the topic "cats". They will now automatically receive the autoresponder e-mails you provided for this topic.

One week later the same customer subscribes via the second form for the topic "dogs". He should not get any more mail about "cats" but only about "dogs".

This is what you need to do:

Create only one recipient group. Insert 2 additional fields for this group, for example "cats" and "dogs".

Now create 2 separate subscriptions forms. Insert a hidden additional field for the first form and enter "1". Do the same thing for the second form with a hidden field for "dogs".

You can now create two segments within this group.

This way the recipients will, according to their subscription, shift from one segment into the other, and can be separately addressed.
